Development Objectives

It is a Non-political, Non-profit making, Non-government social welfare organization. EKRAM FOUNDATION has been working for all walks community people irrespective of their sex, religion, caste and ethnic group in order to achieve the following aims and objectives

To improve the physical quality of life of the poor people especially women of the rural community.
To organize low income household into groups and to undertake participatory income generating projects using microfinance and/or local resources.
To develop straight poverty reduction measures through IGA backed by kind and/or cash capital supplement.
To accelerate non-formal education, post literacy and continuing education and skill training including ICT for enhancing self employment opportunities.
To provide safe water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) support and disseminate technical know-how in the rural and suburb community.
To undertake project on community health, nutrition for women and children.
Program for restoration women’s rights, resists violence, child trafficking and child labor and abuse.
To resist corruption, prejudice, nepotism, illusiveness and to establish social justice, human rights, exercise right to information, access to public utilities to disadvantaged.
To initiate development projects on agriculture, forest by arranging donor funds and of using local capital supplements backed by training, marketing through using modern technology
To establish charitable institute e.g. orphanage, old-aged home, disabled center, handicapped, autistics unit, survival hub, tribal, minority and adibashi benevolent care centre
To carry out project relating to disaster risk reduction, adaptation to climate change, livelihood restoration program caused by flood, cyclone, tornado, drought, saline intrusion, arsenic mitigation, earth quake, landslides.

To undertake projects on low cost rural piping for safe drinking water for rural poor household integrating women’s personal hygiene (menstrual hygiene)
To undertake skill training on farming and non-farming trades for youths, women and vulnerable people of the society
To participate in development program of the government through active involvement or as an associate or as professional group in all sorts RFP, EoI and invitation thereof.
To gather socio-economic information and quantitative data stored for dissemination for assisting development effort.
To assess the vulnerability of diverse cluster of community people including minorities and the indigenous people towards augmenting participatory interventions.
To create opportunity of domestic and overseas employment through massive human resources development program
To govern social and scientific research, survey, baseline study and consultative services in the area of socio-economic development
To provide humanitarian support and legal aid to harassed, oppressed and underprivileged women and children
To launch anti-drug, sexually transmitted disease and HIV/STD prevention program to make a healthy society free of addiction
Formulation of strategic implementation plan to resist corruption at all level, violence, social evils like dowry and discrimination
To establish partnership with foreign donors or hunt reward, donations to implement project consistence to fulfill the MDG goals.
To create any program or project for the upliftment of the urban slum/ squatter dwellers in the urban or industrial zones
To adopt significant projects / program consistent with the provision of section 20 of the Act
